I started off the construction process by tediously cutting the strips of cardboard, which was absolutely, definitely the least satisfying part of this endeavor. I cut two sheets of cardboard like the one pictured below, and this resulted in a total of 100 strips of cardboard, which was barely enough to cover the light once I glued them all together and put them on the base, so I cut one more sheet to get a total of 150 strips. I decided that I would double-up on these strips to get closer to the thickness seen in the original design, so each strip was glued on top of another, resulting in a total of  ~75 strips. photo_2016-02-11_10-03-25 Continue reading "Cardboard Lamp: Construction"
